Bio

David’s first coaching job was the Georgetown Aquadillos summer league swim team just after he graduated high school. He has coached it almost every year since then!

He first coached age group with Aquatics of Georgetown (now called Texas Gold Georgetown) in 2004. Starting small, David slowly grew his coaching responsibility. As a result he started coaching the Masters team too. He enjoys helping both new and experienced swimmers have fun while reaching for their goals.

His first swim team, at age 6, was with the Braun Station Seagulls in San Antonio. David’s first age group swim team was AAAA. After moving to Georgetown, David swam on the Aquadillos summer league team and was a captain on the Georgetown High School team. At that time, Georgetown lacked an age group team so he swam age group in Temple at TASC and the short-lived Georgetown Area Swim team (GAS). At Trinity University he combined his years of competitive gymnastics with water and joined the diving team. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science.

David has also coached the diving team at Southwestern University and the age group swim team, Texas Gold Georgetown. He does ‘coached lap swim’ at Sun City. David also owns and coaches Texas Gold Georgetown Masters Swimming. In his spare, time he does hand stands and reads about computer security, but not at the same time.
