Back in May 2018, I completed a full Central Texas Tough Mudder! It was a fun challenge and I would do it again. It was by far the farthest distance I’ve gone for any event – not surprising for someone who was mostly a swimmer, gymnast, and diver.
I saw a “Twelve Sets of Christmas” and modified it for our Christmas Eve masters practice. Seems like it was well received and I did hear a couple people sing it, haha. The past couple years I’ve done a Christmas Tree thing, but it was time for a change.
In April 2018, I swam Short Course Zones. I had been doing a fair bit of swimming, and I managed to hit my goal of going under a minute in the 100 free! It was an ugly, ugly 100 free but I was still able to hang on and beat my goal.
This what I swam on Wednesday morning. I decided halfway through Set 3 that I probably should work on breath control off my turns. My breathing wasn’t pretty! That’s one reason I added in the freestyle, flip turn, fly set.
I also added the dryland I do after I swim.
Here’s a freestyle workout that I found challenging, but enjoyed swimming.
